Stephanie Sotomayor

Attorney Sotomayor joined the Vrdolyak Law Group in August of 2017. Her legal practice primarily focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice. Sotormayor recieved her law degree fromm the University of Illinois College of Law in 2016.

Stephanie Sotomayor was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Northside College Prep where she developed a love for theater and performance. In 2009, she received her BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago, where she was on the Dean's List all four years and graduated with honors. Sotomayor was an active member of Delta Gamma Fraternity and acted as President of the Panhellenic Council on campus during her senior year.

During her time at the University of Illinois College of Law, she was elected as a 1L Representative of the Student Bar Association (SBA) and then later elected as the SBA Secretary for two years running.

Sotomayor resides in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. She is currently on the Board of the Hispanic Lawyer's Association of Illinois (HLAI) where she is the acting Recording Secretary, and is a member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois and the Illinois State Bar Association. 

As a personal injury attorney, she has represented hundreds of plaintiffs in arbitration, mediation, jury trials, and settlement negotiation.
