RECENT VERDICTS CONCERNING JOHNSON'S BABY POWDER
We at The Vrdolyak Law Group care deeply about the safety of our current and former clients. As such, we felt compelled to write to you to inform you of several recent verdicts entered against Johnson & Johnson.
Johnson's Baby Powder, one of the most popular products containing talcum powder, may increase the risk of ovarian cancer when used for feminine hygiene. Hundreds of lawsuits and class actions have already been filed, including one case that ended in a $72 million jury award in February 2016.
Johnson & Johnson lost another verdict over its Baby Powder on May 2, 2016, when a jury in Missouri awarded a Plaintiff $55 million. This followed a February 22, 2016 verdict against Johnson & Johnson in which a separate Missouri jury awarded the Plaintiff $75 million.
Johnson & Johnson continues to deny the link between its product and ovarian cancer but these jury verdicts make it clear that juries are willing to fairly compensate victims who were injured as a result of Johnson's baby powder.
Talc is a mineral that is structurally similar to asbestos, a known carcinogen. Before the 1970s, many talc products were contaminated with asbestos. Experts are concerned that talc in the ovaries could cause inflammation and increase the risk of ovarian cancer.
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer after using Johnson's baby powder, contact The Vrdolyak Law Group for a free evaluation of your potential case. Please call Chinua Gipson at (773) 731-3311 x. 247.
Very truly yours,
